The Catalina 22 National Sailing Association is deeply saddened to report that Angie Heinold, wife of Mark Heinold, passed away on May 30.
Angelia Marie Heinold, “Angie” age 59, passed away on May 30, 2026, approximately 2:00 PM at Select Specialty Care Hospital of Pensacola, Florida, after seven weeks battling for her life. She was the wife of Mark Eric Heinold. They shared 17 years of marriage together.
Born in Memphis Tn, she was the daughter of Guy Ellis McHand Sr and Julia Marie Billings. She had earlier careers at American Express and Northwest Airlines but spent her last 17 years as a dedicated homemaker to her husband and their blended family of six children.
She was a member of Grand Lagoon Yacht Club, where she enjoyed sailing, jet skis, dolphin watching, beach going, wine, and time with her friends. She was incredibly creative, fashionable, and enjoyed art and music. But most of all she loved her family time poolside at home with her husband, Mark. And her dogs, Chowder and Henri.
In addition to her husband Mark, she is survived by her children: Ellis, Kendall, Taylor, Jaxson, Jordan and Nicholas and eight grandchildren: Aden, Maverick, Everett, Parker, Adelyn, Camila, Truett and Lainey.
The funeral services will be held on 18 June at 2:00 pm at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, 619 N New Warrington Rd, Pensacola, Florida 32506. The viewing/visitation will begin at 1:00 pm. She was a one of kind special lady. Friends and family are all encouraged to attend to say their final goodbyes.
